The answer, of course, is all of them. If you choose the appropriate wallpaper border, you will find that you can improve any room in your house by installing a border of some sort. From bedroom to kitchen, manufacturers make borders to fit any room’s use or décor.
Bathrooms tend to lend themselves to tropical or seaside wallpaper borders. Living rooms often feature floral patterns. And bedrooms can use just about any wallpaper border you like.
The key to choosing the room and wallpaper border that is right for you is to consider your and your family’s likes and dislikes. If you enjoy the way a border looks in a specific room, then chances are that you’ve chosen the right border.

Unfinished basements are wonderful opportunities to expand your home’s living space. Without going through all of the hassle and expense of moving to a new house, you and your family can tap into this unfinished space and create a place for your family to enjoy each other.
The biggest obstacle to converting your basement to living space is its appearance. Many basements are characterized by cement walls and floors and small windows that offer little to no light. A fresh coat of paint can work wonders on minimizing the effect of the concrete walls; a light color will even help combat the lighting issues. Finish your basement’s décor with a cheerful wallpaper border several area rugs and your basement will take on a whole new appearance.

Have you longed for the appearance of an expensive art gallery without the high price? Upscale homes have opted to use wood paneling to create display spaces for their artwork. The lines of the paneling serve to echo the art’s frame and draw the viewer’s eyes to the art.
If lining your room in expensive mahogany isn’t in your budget, don’t bemoan the lack of funds in your budget. Instead, get the same look using a thin wallpaper border. Create regularly-spaced blocks on the walls. Then hang your artwork within the blocks. In no time your home will have the elegant appeal of an art gallery.

Cleaning your bathroom is a necessary chore, but not necessarily one that you want your guests thinking about. For convenience’s sake you may keep cleaning tools like your toilet brush in the bathroom, but you don’t have to leave them in plain sight. Camouflage your less attractive cleaning tools with a coordinated bathroom accessory.
A perfect example of this type of accessory use is the toilet brush holder. Toilet brush holders hide your used, and possibly dirty, toilet brush from the eyes of your guests, but still allows it be close at hand if you need it. On your next shopping trip check out these little gems and choose one for your bathroom.

If space is limited in your bathroom, finding ways to eke out extra storage in your bathroom is always a good idea. But how can you do it? You’ve already maxed out the storage in your vanity and on your countertop. You’ve even installed a shower organizer in the shower to make the most of your storage space there.
One last place to store towels or robes is hiding behind the bathroom door. Okay, it’s actually on the bathroom door. Install a series of hooks or hang a rack over the door to hold a few extra items. The hanging linens will give the bathroom the look of a spa resort and you’ll always have a towel or robe close at hand.

In the grand scheme of home decorating projects, you’d be hard-pressed to find a project that’s easier than installing a wallpaper border. However, after spending the first half hour climbing up and down a ladder, you’ll have to admit that this installation would go much more quickly with help.
Recruit one or two helpers when you apply your border. Then you can pass the roll of border between two ladders and make the project that much easier. A helper on the ground can also help by passing tools to the ladder-bound workers as they need them. You’ll all have fun and your project will be finished in no time.

A bathroom vanity that has seen better days can really make your entire bathroom look dilapidated. After all, everyone who uses your bathroom has to make a stop at the bathroom sink. How can you freshen up this area without ripping out the entire fixture?
For a quick fix, try these simple steps:
1. Remove the doors. Chances are they have taken the bulk of the abuse.
2. Paint the remaining shell of the vanity a color that you like. The fresh paint will work wonders on the vanity.
3. Hang a simple fabric curtain over the empty space left by the old doors. You’ll have quick access to the cabinet’s contents without having to keep them “display” neat. If you’re having trouble finding fabric that coordinates with your bathroom, try cutting down a shower curtain.
In an afternoon you can turn your eyesore vanity into a cute cabinet.

While you’re looking for a way to use up that leftover wallpaper border, don’t forget to apply your decorating skills to the first place your guests see: the front porch. Although you probably don’t want to apply wallpaper border to your home’s exterior, there are still opportunities to put those border remnants to use.
Consider dressing up planters with a row of your border. Alternatively, if your porch features a small table, you can also decorate the edges of the table with border.
Think creatively of ways that you can work your wallpaper border into the décor of your porch and entryway. Before long, your home’s curb appeal will have your neighbors vying to see the rest of your home.

Tiny bathrooms make great powder rooms for guests. They are so small that you can splurge and decorate them really nicely without breaking your budget. And since they don’t have the shower and bathtub that are in your full bathrooms, cleaning these tiny rooms is a breeze.
The only downfall of these bathrooms is the limited storage space. Where do you keep all of the little things that your guests might need? By getting creative with a tissue box holder, you can get away with storing your bathroom’s extras right in plain sight. An extra roll of toilet paper will never be noticed if it’s hidden on the counter under a tissue box holder. Likewise, try storing a spare body scrubber in the same place. Now your bathroom will be guest-ready and still look like a showcase bathroom.

Purchasers of a newly-built home quickly discover that some parts of their home are more functional than they are decorative. For instance, your guest bathroom probably doesn’t have the fanciest mirror on the block. The standard for these mirrors is a plain sheet of mirrored glass, held onto the wall with specially designed clips. It certainly gets the job done, but may not be exactly what you envisioned for your guests bathroom.
You can dress this mirror up in half an hour with some wallpaper border. First, choose a border that can be applied vertically and horizontally. Then apply the border all the way around the mirror. If you’re feeling particularly bold that day you can miter your makeshift frame’s corners. There! Now your guest bathroom mirror is something to show off rather than ignore.
